Astrodomain denies loss of control to creditors
Houston Officials of Astrodomain Corp deny that control of the entertainment complex behind the Astros has moved from Judge Roy Hofheinz. President T. H. Neyland says financial rearrangements are complete and the company is ready to move forward. Hofheinz will remain chairman, while creditors hold mortgage notes totaling 38 million dollars alongside GE Credit Corp and HNC Realty. No personnel changes are planned, including Astros GM Spec Richardson and Manager Preston Gomez. The firm owns 98 percent of the Houston Sports Association, leasing the Astrodome under a 40 year deal. The team remains 19 games out in the NL West with 90 to go.
