Adams Chronicles offered to BBC. purchase rejected
BBC declined to buy The Adams Chronicles amid BBC budget crises and import restrictions. WNET administrator Kotlowitz says no BBC option existed, noting ongoing financial strains, union issues, and a limited import quota. The 13 part drama, budgeted at 5.2 million, has secured buyers in several European nations and is open to commercial TV in some markets.
