Avalon and Convy TV Shows Offer Cheap Laughs
Los Angeles based AP critic Jay Sharbutt reviews CBS summer variety premieres Easy Does It Starring Frankie Avalon and The Late Summer Early Fall Bert Convy Show. He mocks weak sketches unfunny humor and tasteless gags, noting cameos by Andy Griffith and Annette Funicello fail to rescue the programs. The pieces are described as so bad they are unamusing and not worth watching.
