Point Comfort Aldermen to hold zoning meeting tonight
The Point Comfort board of aldermen will meet at 7 p.m. with the zoning commission to discuss revising city zoning ordinances. Commission member Kenneth Breeden urged unifying two building code ordinances into one code, calling the current wording hard to follow. He also urged clarification of the certificates of occupancy. City attorney David Roberts suggested aligning building codes with the flood insurance ordinance.

Special disaster group approved

A M Exes Observe San Jacinto Day Ceremony
Ex-students of Texas A&M will hold San Jacinto Day ceremonies at 6 30 p m tonight at Salem Lutheran Church. A new slate of officers will be elected after the memorial muster with Walter Poll David Roberts and Mike Gibson serving as current officers. Pete Wright chairs the muster and a White Cap dinner for Aggie exes and families follows. The 1903 muster honored 300 Corps of Cadets who paid homage to Texans who defeated the Mexican army in 1836. Musters have continued annually with a friend answering here for those absent.

Voters decide two amendments on retirement and pay
