A&M Scientists Track Ocean Floor Through Global Survey
Texas A&M Oceanography researchers using the 174-foot RV Gyre pursue a six to seven year project funded by NSF. Led by Dr. John Johnson and Norman Guinasso Jr., the team studies how ocean floor organisms mix and filter sediments, tracing plutonium from atmospheric fallout to measure seabed stirring. Future work will extend from Africa and the Atlantic to the Pacific.

Action is Key To Saving Life
The Texas Medical Association urges fast action and advance prep to save poisoning victims. Carry poison containers for doctors, avoid inducing vomiting in certain cases, and seek medical help after first aid. Include nonpoisoning risks like inhaled poisons and bites in planning and use local helpline numbers for support.
