Causeway Traffic Rises for Memorial Day Holiday
Traffic on the Queen Isabella Causeway to Padre Island remains on the rise with current totals at 60 548 cars and 3 522 more than last year. Memorial Day this year created a four day period for comparison versus five days last year. In 1956 the holiday crossing was 5 234 and 4 076 in 1957. Since the causeway opened, weekly totals reach 441 30.
