Texas Folklife Festival shapes up for September
The second Texas Folklife Festival runs Sept 6-9 at the University of Texas at San Antonio Institute of Texan Cultures. More than 42 Texas artists will demonstrate crafts from Western to Chinese styles, with booths for purchase and live art. Names include R C Wong Austin portraitist, Howard E Hilliard Houston tintype photographer, Charlene Berryman Kingsbury doll maker, Betty Smith Lancaster bread sculptor, and many others across painting, wood and metal work, weaving, blacksmithing, and traditional crafts.
