Vannie E Cook Dies Suddenly At Breakfast
Vannie E Cook president of Mayfair Minerals Inc and tied to Taylor Mayfair properties died suddenly at breakfast in a Dillas hotel of a heart attack. Funeral services were in McAllen. Survivors include wife, son Vannie Jr, and daughter Mrs C A Jennings, all of McAllen. Cook came from Louisiana in 1928 and led McAllen oil and gas development. He served as city commissioner Rotary club president and Chamber of Commerce head.
