A bank robber was captured in Port Isabel last Friday ending a nationwide manhunt. Police report the suspect was apprehended without incident and is being held pending charges related to the bank heist.

Kin of Local Woman Dies in Llano
Mrs. Florence Osborn, 90, mother of Mrs. Berford West of Port Isabel, died Jan. 23 in Llano Texas after a heart ailment. She celebrated her 90th birthday that day with nine children nearby. Survived by all nine children, 26 grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren. described as active and happy throughout life.
