Sportsmen cluster at SCOT meeting over shell dredging near reefs
Delegations from Upper Coast and Valley sportsmen prepare for the annual Sportsmen Clubs of Texas meeting in Austin on January 18 to oppose a Parks and Wildlife plan permitting dredging within 300 feet of oyster reefs, citing oyster loss and fishing declines. Local clubs offer participation and logistical support, with funds for travel but not meals.
