Reynolds Aluminum Mobile Unit Moves to New Stop
Reynolds Aluminum Recycling announces a new Saturday stop location at Queen Isabella and Yturria from 1 to 3 p.m. starting April 15. The former site at Maxan St. and Yturria near Beulah Park is replaced. no collection occurred on April 8 due to the move. The Port Isabel site pays recyclers 17 cents per pound and transports metal to Harlingen Center, open 9 a.m. to 4 30 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.

TVCCC Tackles Soaring Health Care Costs In Texas
The Texas Voluntary Cost Containment Committee met in Austin to coordinate cost containment efforts across more than 20 health care groups and state agencies. Co chaired by John M. Smith Jr and Richard L. Epperson, the group reviews progress on cost containment projects and public understanding of the health care system. The committee formed in 1977 to counter proposed federal controls and preserve local and state control of hospitals and medical practice. Members include the Texas Hospital Association and the Texas Medical Association among many others.
