Death of C E Burton rites Wednesday in Cornell
C E Burton 71 of 602 P Locust Street died at home Sunday at 4 p m after a two month illness. Funeral services are set for Wednesday at 2 p m at Behrendt Funeral Home with Rev Oliver Carlson officiating. Burial will follow in Cornell Cemetery. He married Flossie Edwards in Washington in 1923. Surviving are wife three sons a daughter four sisters and numerous grandchildren. A brother and sister preceded him in death. The Brandeis station reports Kiev's last synagogue has been closed by the Soviet government after a call from Moscow.

Miss Ferren Dies at 68 in Chatsworth
Miss Beulah M. Ferren of Chatsworth, 68, died at 3 a.m. Sunday at St. James Hospital in Pontiac. Funeral services are set for 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Culkin Memorial Home with Rev. Margaret Poe officiating. Burial will follow in Chatsworth Cemetery with no calling hours. She was born November 23, 1903 in Olney, daughter of Rolla and Etta Ferren. Surviving are five brothers and one sister. two brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
