McDowell The Bible School program at the McDowell Church was held Sunday with teachers Anna Mae Popp Dixie Green Mary Ann Tavener Ida Ziller Bessie Busing Catherine Smith Janice Smith Nellie Mae Smith as superintendent. 4-H Livestock Poultry Judging Schools Planned

Livingston County announces livestock and poultry judging schools set for Friday June 18 at Honegger Farm three miles south of Forrest on Route 47 from 9 to 11 30 a m Farm adviser Paul T Wilson said open to all 4-H members in the county Rings of hog beef cattle and sheep will be judged with market swine and beef animals graded Poultry judging includes live birds a cull class of laying hens egg candling and market eggs graded in shell and broken out of shell County extension advisers from adjoining counties are invited to participate. Canada’s written constitution is known as the British North America Act.

Mrs Greenman Heads Cornell Legion Auxiliary

Mrs Helen Greenman was elected president of the Cornell American Legion Auxiliary at the May meeting held in the Legion Hall. Judith Hall and Bruce Olson Wed in St Mary Catholic Church

Judith Ione Hall and Bruce Wayne Olson were married Saturday at 2 p.m. in St. Mary Catholic Church with 50 guests. The bride wore a satin gown with lace, a pearl crown veil, and carried white carnations, while maid of honor Phylis Hall and bridesmaids wore pink and white. Best man Harry Trimmer, groomsmen Pat Keith and Terry Flynn, and other attendants included Robert Hall and Joe Sikic.

Mrs Carlson Installed As First Vice President Of Pontiac Unit

Mrs Arthur Carlson was installed as first vice president of the Pontiac unit of the Homemakers Extension Association Friday at 10 30 a m in the First Christian Church. Other officers installed were Mrs B G Chattin second vice president Mrs Delores Woodburn treasurer and Miss Nellie Jordan secretary. The local leaders prepared broccoli souffle asparagus with mushroom sauce and carrots in three ways for the potluck dinner. Miss Leona Cleary explained the work of the Credit Bureau.

Bride and Groom Wed in Braidwood Ceremony

Ushers assisted at the ceremony followed by a reception at St. Mary Hall. Miss Sharon Trimmer and Mrs. Joanne Kimmel and Mrs. Shirley Willis of Joliet served as bridesmaids. The couple, who met in Braidwood, live at 91442 E Washington St. He works for Pontiac Chair Co. A bridal shower was held May 15 at 3 p.m. at Mrs. Pat Keith's home.
