667 in County Receive Surplus Food
A total of 667 persons in Livingston County received surplus food in November, according to Harold Swank, director of the Illinois Department of Public Aid. They were among 65,655 people in 70 downstate counties who received 866,172 pounds of federally donated commodities valued at $245,725. The commodities aided those unemployed or in need and recipients of five state assistance programs. In Livingston County 251 received surplus commodities only, 142 under general assistance, 177 under aid to dependent children, 62 under old age assistance, four under blind assistance, and 31 under disability assistance.

The lodge sent 15 to Odd Fellows Children and Old Folks Homes. Mrs. Louis Ramsey was appointed degree staff captain with Miss Keturah Springer as assistant, refreshments followed, gifts were exchanged, and co chairs were named for January socials. Next meeting is January 3 at 7:30 p.m.

Chatsworth Couple Wed 60 Years
Mr and Mrs Arthur B Collins of Chatsworth celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with a family dinner at their home on Christmas day. The couple were married near Independence Oklahoma in 1906 and lived in Illinois before settling in Chatsworth.
