Sol Kaplan 67 Chenoa Civic Leader Dies in Chicago
Sol Kaplan a prominent Chenoa civic leader and retired businessman died Thursday at Wesley Memorial hospital in Chicago after a heart attack last week. Funeral service will be 1 p m Sunday at Forth funeral home with burial at Mount Isaiah cemetery. Friends may call after 6 p m Saturday. Kaplan headed the Chenoa Community club for 18 years and was a past Lions club president. He helped organize Chenoa Rotary and was active in civic affairs. He retired in 1952 after 40 years in business.

Residents and visitors gathered in Pontiac as the Ericksons hosted dinners. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Erickson and daughter Jean, plus Dr. and Mrs. Hartwig, visited Mr. and Mrs. B. O. Erickson.
