Ladd School Christmas Program Delights with Songs and Playlet
Ladd School held a Thursday evening Christmas program at 7:30 p.m. following a brief Parent-Teacher Association meeting. Kindergarten through sixth grade students performed songs such as Santa’s Sleigh and Christmas Day, presented a short playlet What Did You Want From Santa, and featured a long cast of students including Ricky Dixon Jil Rapp Carol Caccioppo and Michael Casey.

Cornell reports a Christmas dinner held Sunday at the Cornell American Legion Hall hosted by Mrs. Mae Shafer of Pontiac. Attending were D. J. Eaton, Delbert and Eldon Ruff and families, Lewis Voigts and son Allen and daughter Mary Ann, Harry Eston, Dannie Eaton and daughter Marilyn of Highland Indiana, James Kaltes and Gretton Eaton with daughters Gretta and Serene, plus others from Pontiac Griffith and Highland. A gift exchange occurred. MYF caroling Saturday preceded a lunch with birthday honors for Carol and Kenneth Ely, Janet Tiffany and Steven Zimmerman. MYF leaders are Mrs. Lloyd Erickson, Mrs. Don Ely and Miss Betty Gamblin. Elmer Blue dined with Gretton Eaton Monday night.
