Forrest women gathered December 13 for the Forrest Women's League Christmas party at the township hall. A reception committee included Mrs. Elmer Wussman Jr. and Mrs. Arnold Rich. Mediation was led by Mrs. John Kilgus. League chorus provided special music with Darrell Davis at the piano. A gift exchange and a 50 cent diversion were noted.

District Director Robert H. Robinson of the Immigration and Naturalization Service announced a new annual reporting duty for aliens in the United States. By the end of January each year all aliens in the country on January 1 must report their addresses, with limited exemptions for diplomats, certain international organization officials, and temporary agricultural workers. Forms are available at post offices and immigration offices in January, with penalties for noncompliance.
Forrest American Legion Auxiliary held its annual Christmas party at the Legion hall with a brief meeting. Donations supported Christmas Gifts for Veterans Orphans Gifts for the Yanks and pro rata for Dwight V. A. Hospital. Prizes awarded to Mrs. Andy Metz Miss Ella Fahey and Mrs. Kenneth Bohannon. Caroling and gift exchange followed. Guests included Mrs Alma Thornberg of Joliet.
Seventy members and guests of the Forrest Lions club gathered for a Christmas party and ladies night at the Legion hall. The Legion Auxiliary served a three course dinner, with music by a men’s quartet from Flanagan. Gifts were exchanged and arrangements were led by Ray Huston and Wilman Davis. Clarence Culkin presided as local Lions president.
Notice states February 2 1959 is the claim date in the Estate of Arthur W Morse deceased pending in the Livingston County Illinois County Court and that claim is required by law to be filed by that date.
The document states that in May the estate was fled by the executor on or before a stated date without the issuance of summons. Morse is named as executor with Kerr Phillips Smith as counsel at 224 North Main Street, Pantie, Alabama.
