Also noted is a similar request for adjacent Livingston County Development Corporation property for retail and wholesale use.
Two men were arrested yesterday and held in the county jail awaiting court. John Rainey, 38, of Springfield, was nabbed Thursday by the Sheriff's Department on a stop sign violation and driving with a revoked license. Antonio Abad, 44, of 611 W Madison St., was arrested Thursday by City Police on public drunkenness and criminal damage to property charges.
Elmer Mossberger 73 of 408 E Prairie J1 appeared in Circuit Court on arson charges related to an attempted fire at the Moose Home. Public Defender John G Satter Jr appointed. bond set at 9000. he remains jailed. Committed to Kankakee State Hospital for treatment. hearing planned to determine length of stay.
Edward Grit, 21, Cornell, fined 75 dollars and costs and jailed 45 days for driving under suspension driving too fast for conditions and illegal liquor possession. Howard B. Williams, 26, Pontiac, given one year at the Illinois State Farm Vanalla for deceptive practices.
