The Blue Cross Association survey shows the poor endure more nervous tension and serious illness than the affluent, with 24 percent of ghetto Blacks and Mexican Americans and 30 percent of poor whites having uncared-for medical problems. Rising health care costs affect three of four American families across income levels.
Green Bay, the defending NFL champions, hosted the Baltimore Colts at Lambeau Field before 50 861 partisan fans. The Colts overwhelmed the Packers 16 to 3 but the crowd rose to applaud the team in the final 30 seconds.

U.S. delegate Raymond D. Nasher told the General Assembly that Americans are underrepresented among UN staff while nations from other countries fill more posts than their share. Nasher cited that 20 percent of the 5,700 posts are held by Americans, from about 18.81 percent of UN workers.

A Treasury Department agent checked guns on the World War II memorial battleship USS Massachusetts for possible gun registration violations. Victor Fazio said their final ruling must come from Washington. The ship reportedly lacks registration for nine 16 inch and twenty 5 inch guns, with penalties up to 10 years in prison and $10,000 fine.

McDowell Church MYF members and chaperones traveled by bus to Chicago last Saturday. They toured Field Museum Shed Aquarium Museum of Science and Industry and Moody Bible Institute and attended Moody Church where Hey Skinner a former Harlem gang leader spoke. Participants included Rev Al Hilding Rev and Mrs B York Mr and Mrs LeRoy Barnes Jeanne Linda Barnes Bob Busing Martha Lou Brockman Barbara Bressner Lynn Bacret and Mary Ann Green.
Four members of the Ruth Circle met Tuesday evening at the home of Mrs. Anna Mae Popp. Feb 6 was set as the date for the Aycol supper with guests including Bud Bressner and Mrs Helen Chamberlain.
