Rafe fights off a padlocked door, mounts Bathsheba, and spurs away as Bunny confronts him with accusations. A chase unfolds with shooting near Pike’s house, as Rafe and Spangler’s man clash while Busuy fights to protect Bathsheba and the scene erupts in gunfire.

Ted Vose was elected president of the Communicator Club Monday at City Hall. Melvin Sykes was named first vice president Len Pfleeger second vice president and Fred Steimle secretary and treasurer. Heibie Buland reported Civil Defense zoning for amateur radio operators updated in line with Cuban crisis information. General John C Fremont named San Francisco's Golden Gate.
The University of Illinois will host a six week Winter Short Course in Agriculture from February 4 to March 15 1963. Twenty one courses cover agricultural economics engineering agronomy animal dairy horticulture and veterinary medicine. Sessions feature college professors and social activities plus potential to become regular students during the stay. Costs run 215 to 270 with potential 100 scholarships via local banks. William Meade Lindsley Fiske Jr. an American airman serving with the Royal Air Force was the first U.S. officer to lose his life in Britain during World War I. A tablet in St. Paul’s Cathedral London was erected in his honor.
Velma Martin and Harry Tibbs married December 1 at Normal in a double ring ceremony officiated by Rev. C. Phillips. Attendants were Mrs. Wendall Martin and Marshall Stone. The couple resides in Lexington after a southern wedding trip. Miss Martin works at Fashion-Bilt Shoe Co. and Mr. Tibbs at Lange Garage in Chenoa.
