The McDowell community shares Thanksgiving meals with relatives including the Ruff, Hoback, and Howard families in Chenoa Pontiac Long Point and Kankakee. ISU student Gary Ruff returned home for the weekend. A church basement project was done by the McDowell men and Alfred Smith and Kathy Ruff welcomed a son born at Fairbury Hospital.
Thanksgiving gatherings spread through multiple households as Ruff and Gorman families hosted relatives from Chicago Danvers Pontiac Morris and Bloomington.
