William Hilst 76 dies. Pontiac native

William F. Hilst a former Pontiac resident aged 76 of rural Manito died Monday at his home. Funeral set for Thursday at 10 30 a m at Manito Methodist Church with burial in Manito. Visitation 7 to 9 p m Wednesday at Limbach Funeral Home Manito. Survived by wife Thelma Clauser two sons Darrell Havana and Beryl Manito and five grandchildren.

Local Boys Club Sees 100 Members Join Roster

More than 100 area boys have joined the Chief City Area Boys Club and take part in weekly activities. Jack Oberholtzer won a medal in the air rifle tournament held monthly, while Skipper Kipfer earned a national award from the American Archery Association for archery skills. The club seeks volunteers and adults can pick up an application from Director Tom Cormack.
