A previously unknown Wordsworth poem titled The Barberry Tree appears in Henry Hallam papers at Christ Church Oxford. Discovered by Peter Clark, the 113 line manuscript was part of a letter from Charles Elton to Hallam’s wife Julia, dating to Wordsworth’s peak years. Jonathan Wordsworth calls the find significant though late works are less celebrated.
