Goodrich council grapples with wastewater denial and fines
The Goodrich city council faces a TCEQ denial over wastewater plant funding. Fines could reach 250000, with in place workable costs of 40000 to 50000. Aug 19 is deadline to pay or start payments. 90 days to restore compliance if denied. City officials criticized lack of representation and information. The meeting also approved modest fire department improvements, a three minute open forum limit, and a 4200 audit engagement with Davis Heinemann and Company.
