Millstones Presented to City for Historical Use

Daughters of Utah Pioneers commemorated the pioneer arrival in Pleasant Grove with services. Two millstones were presented to the Pleasant Grove Camp by Mr. and Mrs. Joseph B. for historical use.

City Council Reports Water Work Progress and Zoning Talks

School room mothers are invited to a Room Mothers Tea in the Lindon school library Friday September 24 at 3 20 pm. Principal James Baird will outline duties and introduce PTA officers and committee. refreshments will be served and attendance encouraged.

Garden Club Convention Held in Salt Lake City

Pleas ant Grove Garden Club delegates attend the 27th Annual Convention of the Associated Garden Clubs of the state at the Garden Center in Salt Lake City. Officers for the coming year were elected with Mrs. Robert Savage continuing as president. Valley View Hosts Parents Night at 6 30 Today

Valley View Elementary School invites parents to a 6 15 p m Parents Night in the school auditorium. After a short general session, parents may meet teachers individually. The PTA urges all Valley View parents to attend and connect with the teaching staff.

Evelena Yazzie Wins Utah State Fair Indian Princess Title

Evelena Yazzie was crowned Indian Princess at the Utah State Fair last Saturday. She competed with ten other contestants from across the state, each in colorful Indian costumes. Evelena received a trophy a crown and Lift certificates. She is the daughter of Teddy and [unsure] Yazzie of Craibl Arizona and foster daughter of Bishop and Mrs. Lyle Thacker of Pleasant Grove. She attends Pleasant Grove High School.

Oaks Answers Questions for Newsmen at Friday Meeting

Tonight at 7 30 parents are invited to meet teachers and PTA staff in the junior high auditorium. PTA dues are five cents per person and subscriptions to the PTA magazine cost two dollars and fifty cents per year.
