Legion Awarded Bayly Mfg For Hiring Older Workers
The American Legion Depart ment of Utah presented Bayly Manufacturing a framed certificate of appreciation last Monday for policies that favor hiring older employees including veterans. Commander Hyrum Holt of Pleasant Grove Post 70 led the ceremony. Bayly’s William Garst noted 16 percent of its 250 workers are 45 or older and pledged continued support.

Three New Seminary Teachers Assigned This Year in Pleasant Grove
Three new Seminary teachers join Pleasant Grove LDS Seminary this year per principal Rona Firth. The hires are Lynn Tolman Gary Wangsgard and Dell Young, all with BYU ties and prior church educational service. Tolman hails from Salt Lake City and Redlands California with BYU studies and a counseling master's in progress. Wangsgard from Ogden taught at Garland Seminary and led the Tonga Church School with BYU psychology graduate background. Young from Provo BYU class of 1968 with physical education and a Central Atlantic mission currently serves as an adviser in the seminary program.
