Keith Hansen of Pleasant Grove is named guest of Farmers Insurance Group for the Topper Club convention in Sun Valley Idaho September 30 to October 2. Robert H. Early, first vice president production, says the event will be at the Lodge with company officials attending. Fall Temperatures Dip as Showers Freshen Grounds

Tabulations for the Pleasant Grove Lindon area show total enrollment across five schools up 4 from last year. Grovecrest Elementary lists 403 students with grades K through Fifth totaling, Central Elementary 688, Junior High 611, Senior High 585, yielding an overall elementary total of 1,368 and high school total of 1,196 for a grand total of 2,654 students.

Nine beauty queens will lead Utah Valley Steelmark Days parade on Sept 29, spanning 40 miles from Santaguin to Lehy. City Court in August Shows Light Business and Busy Police

August court activity in Pleasant Grove reflected light fines totaling 275 and 16 traffic cases led by 10 speeding charges. Other automobile matters included improper passing and reckless driving, with several cases dismissed and one civil action filed. Police activity remained steady with arrests for thefts, assaults, threats, and various disturbances, plus routine safety efforts and community incidents across the month.
