Heber Nathan Winters Dies at Home

Heber Nathan Winters died November 16 at his home from pneumonia and heart trouble after several weeks of illness. Survived by wife Ore Vivian Hendrickson Winters and seven children, plus his father A. Ry Winters and many siblings. Funeral held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Timpanogos stake tabernacle with remarks by church leaders and musical tributes. Interment followed at Pleasant Grove cemetery.

Marion Whitely 48 died at her sister’s home after ten weeks of illness. Born July 31 1887 in Mountain Green Sanpete County she moved to the area as a child and remained. Auto Wreck Injures Four Young People Near Lehi

Four youths were injured Sunday morning when a car driven by Reed Halliday lost control near Lehi, overturned a culvert and water box, and overturned. The occupants, Orval Bullock, Bernice Dean, Ruth Gardiner, and Halliday, were taken to hospital and released Sunday morning. Eldred Pax, Tage Wefes of Lon, and Dever Goliedge assisted at the scene.

Pleasant Grove High School reports Mr Johnson unanimously chosen as mayor. He is a B A graduate who teaches physiology biology zoology and debating. Ten Years Ago Now Nov 21 1835 Parents Day

An item from the files of Nov 21 1835 notes Parents Day at Central School on Friday November 20 with many parents visiting. The day featured a view of how a typical school day runs and a large turnout for the event. Evening entertainments directed by the Ag Club included boxing and wrestling after a three reel picture in the high school auditorium. The yearbook staff plans a new edition and lists Pleasant Grove students at the University of Utah.
