Concrete Pipe Plant Prepares for Large Scale Aqueduct Work
The Concrete Pipe Co plans to operate a new plant to manufacture large concrete pipe for the Salt Lake aqueduct and Deer Creek project. Output aims at a daily production of pipe sections eight miles of conduit, employing more workers and using automated equipment for pre cast sections and heavy machinery setup. The $522,000 contract supports the Alpine unit for the Salt Lake water project.

First Ward Plans Pleasant Grove Reunion Banquet and Dance

Local Girl Wins Gold Medal For 4-H Achievement
Beverly West of Pleasant Grove is named county winner in the 11th annual 4-H achievement contest by the extension service. County Agent O R Boswell will present a horn of plenty shield medal funded by Kerr Glass Corporation. State winner Garo Clark of Morgan earns a trip to the National 4-H Club Congress in Chicago on December 16, with five $200 college scholarships to be awarded. Nine counties participated.
