Twelve Pleasant Grove High School FFA members competed for royalty with contests in hay stacking, baking, cake decorating, milking goats, chasing chickens, and ticket sales on a rifle. The queen will be chosen by student body vote at Harvest Ho Down Friday night sponsored by FFA PTS A and GAA with Road Work performing after a movie at 7 and a dance at 9 costing 1.25 per person.

Eugene Hilton was installed as president of the new Crescent Utah Stake created on October 21 1973 by division of the Mt. Jorlan Stake. He previously served in the stake presidency along with counselors John Burton Anderson and Robert Dalley. Hilton, born February 6 1927 in Alexander Idaho, is a Pleasant Grove native and Navy veteran with a large family.
