O M Shoemaker elected president of the Pleasant Grove Lions Club at the recent meeting. Shoemaker a registered professional engineer moved from Los Angeles in 1952 and has long worked in construction cost estimating at Consolidated Western Steel. He has lived in Pleasant Grove since 1952, married Mary Lee in 1903, and recently received a 10 year service pin from the company. He has chaired the Board of Adjustment and directed Lions Club projects including signs to guide travelers to the city and Fairyland Park activities with the State Training Program.

Contest for Dairy Princess Set for Seera on Monday
The Dairy Princess contest for the Seera area will be held June 1 at the Seara Theatre in Orem. Eight young ladies compete including four from Pleasant Grove.
