Timpanogos MIA Finals Highlight Local Arts Event
A lively evening at the high editorium featured MIA finals with numerous winners. Jea Halliday, Porter Leavitt, Miriam, and Jesse Walker earned top honors in storytelling and public speaking, while a one act play titled Folks won by MIA participants coached by Mrs. Lucille H. The event showcased a large audience, acting talent, and a dance display by Maybelle Farr among others. A central committee for a new Flower Club in Timpanogos was chosen last Sunday with Mrs. J. P. Fugal as president and Mrs. J. W. Gillman as vice president. The group plans ward representatives, talks on landscaping and rock gardens, an exchange program, and aims to spread flower culture to homes and yards. All are welcome.

Funeral Services For Mrs Anna C Ellis
Funeral services were held at the stake tabernacle for Anna C Ellis wife of William T Ellis. Bishop Frank D Atwood presided with a quartet and musical selections. She died May 11 after three months illness. Survived by husband nine children eight grandchildren one great grandchild and siblings. Burial in Pleasant Grove cemetery with interment officiated by Edmund Cragan.
