Funeral for Irving Bullock Held in Pleasant Grove

Funeral services for Irving Bullock long resident of Pleasant Grove were held Saturday in the First Ward chapel. The service featured remarks by church leaders and a program of vocal and instrumental music. Bullock died Tuesday in a Salt Lake hospital after weeks of illness.

Oliver J Pehrson born July 20 1886 in Aarhus Denmark died Saturday at his Provo home from a heart attack. A former Pleasant Grove resident he lived 24 years in Provo and worked at a Genoa plant. Survived by widow two sons two daughters nine stepchildren eleven grandchildren and siblings. Funeral Wednesday at 1 30 in Pioneer Ward chapel with burial in Provo City Cemetery.

Daughters of Utah Pioneers Elect Officers May 17

On Thursday May 17 at 2 PM the Daughters of Utah Pioneers will elect officers. Clothing Drive Acknowledged As War Relief Effort

Pleasant Grove hosted the United National Clothing collection for war relief which gathered 95 large boxes and 13 burlap bags of items, shipping 3350 pounds to the Salt Lake City depot. Volunteers from civic and church groups aided in advertising, collecting, sorting, and packing, with J. Kemp credited for leadership and H. W. Clark expressing gratitude to all contributors.
