Strawberry Queen Filing Deadline Set for May 10

Mt Atwood reminds all residents of Pleasant Grove that life applications and photos for the 1980 Strawberry Days Queen contest must be filed by May 10. Only one candidate, Beverly Jenn Price sponsored by the Line Dian Laona Club, has submitted so far. The election and honoring program will be May 21 at 8 p.m. Tickets cost 50 cents, with one vote per person. tickets available from candidates and sponsors.

Sandra Lunceford Hurt In School Parking Lot Crash

Sandra Lunceford 16 a Pleasant Grove High student was seriously injured when she fell from the hood of a car driven by David Johnson 18 a fellow student in the school parking area on Tuesday April 26. Officers say her clothing caught on the bumper and she was dragged 80 feet. Ming Lunceford was taken to Utahs hospital with internal injuries and is in fair condition.
