Lydia Hilton to Be Honored on 80th Birthday Saturday
The Hilton family invites friends to an open house honoring Lydia A. Hilton on Saturday March 12 1977 from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Lions Club Sportsman Center Pleasant Grove Utah. Born March 12 1897 in Lakeview she married Abel J. Ekins and after his death served an LDS mission in California before marrying S W Hilton. They raised seven children and have 28 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren. The family requests no gifts.

Spencer W. Kimball will deliver the dedicatory address for Utah Technical College Utah Valley's new Orem campus on March 1. Four buildings will be completed for the ceremony including Automotive, Business, Student Center, and Mechanical Building with two more planned for fall 1978 including the Library and Trades Building. President Wilson W. Sorensen oversees the dedication and the newly named Sorensen Student Center. An open house follows the 10 a.m. service, inviting public attendance.

Donald Grant Jewkes, son of S. Grant Jewkes and Karma Lee Brown, is called to Ireland as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He will enter the mission home March 18. A farewell is set for Sunday, March 13 at 245 p.m. in the Midvale 6th Ward House, 642 Jackson St. He has spent a year at Trade Tech and eight months at Signetics in Orem. Friends and relatives are invited to hear him bear his testimony.
