A new 40 by 100 foot building is being erected on the west side of Pleasant Grove Main Street between Christensen's Store and the Bank of Pleasant Grove. Dean Smith of Smith Brothers Market in Bulainga oversees work as forms are placed for the concrete foundation. Completion is set for June 1. The front will feature brick and plate glass while the side and rear walls will be block masonry.

Piling Figurines Found In Utah Cave Date 11 Pieces
Clarence Pilling of Price Utah donated eleven artistically decorated clay figurines from a dry cave east of Castle Valley Carbon County. Dated to the 11th century by Dr. Noel Morss, the tiny figures show male and female pairs with distinctive dress and adornments. The artifacts, found March 1950, survived centuries in willow baskets and offer insight into early American Southwest life and writing glimmers yet to be interpreted.
