Funeral services conducted Wednesday for Jovenh W. Halliday 98 eldest man in North Utah County who died Monday after a brief illness. Born in Bristol England April 21 1850 he emigrated with family to Utah in 1854 later settling Pleasant Grove. Survived by six children two wives preceded in death. Burial in Pleasant Grove Cemetery with speakers praising his community work in the L D S Church and long life of service.

George Shoell, longtime Pleasant Grove resident born in England on March 6, 1880, celebrates his 8 0th birthday. A pioneer who helped haul timber for railroads, he raised a large family and continues active with riding, driving, and farm work. Funeral Services Held Sunday in Provo Merchant Marine
Funeral services for John Tt Petersen merchant marine son of Drs Nancy Petersen who died at Sante Gatalias Island Califor Pitty were held Sunday afternoon with Bishop Frank JT Bennett in charge. The Provo service featured organist Mrs Lewis Allen, choir directed by Ralph Bru sear, solo by Mrs Mary R Day, prayers by Bishop P C Peterson, and remarks by LeRoy Condie. A tribute song by Boy Scouts, a violin solo by Dawn Marie Adams, and closing prayers completed the ceremony. The grave was dedicated at Provo City Burial Park by Orrin H Jackson. The program included High School students and Junior Red Cross work with Afghan pieces and wool items donated by local groups.
