Central Committee of the stake sponsors a full day celebration at Mutual Dell for the Timpanigos Centennial Homecoming. A Pioneer Trek begins at 5:00 a.m. from city park, with multiple ball games at 10:00 a.m., 2:00 p.m., and 4:00 p.m. Ladies races, horse shoes, dancing, and pioneer stories fill the afternoon. Springville gears up for a four day centennial homecoming starting July 1 with an outdoor Western dance at the high school tennis courts. July 2 features a 7:39 pm program at Fourth Ward Church and a city park band concert, plus a daytime district activities. July 3 includes a 2 pm trapshoot at Hobble Creek canyon, a 6 pm Main Street miniature parade, and races at Spring Acres track. July 4 opens with a sunrise salute and children’s events, followed by repeat trapshooting and a 5 pm mammoth parade, then Midget Auto races at Spring Acres at 8 pm to close.

Reunion of 1941 Pleasant Grove graduates gathers for a cordial return
About twenty five members of the 1941 Pleasant Grove High School class and partners met last Saturday at the Third Ward chapel in a joyful reunion. Wm. C. Smith represented the faculty. A committee for the next gathering was named with Dale Pusat Tyler Rogers and Helen Ho Wels. Prizes went to Leslie Neves for traveling farthest to attend and to Venice Sacobs Wugal for having the most children. Dale Fugal organized dance mixers and music games.
