Prominent Banker Swenson Dies After Gallstone Surgery
Swen L. Swenson, 72, longtime Pleasant Grove leader and patriarch of the Timpanogos stake, died in Berkeley after gallstone surgery followed by pneumonia. Born February 17, 1865, he served as mayor, school board president, and stake patriarch, with deep civic and religious contributions. Surviving are three children, a brother and sister, and several grandchildren. funeral arrangements are pending with Timpanogos stake.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2 o'clock with Bishop Juniite A. West presiding. The opening number featured a vocal trio by Anna Fural, Annie Gardiner and Helen Nelson. Speakers included Bishop F.D. Atwood and Gobdlett Bubler, with closing remarks by Bishop Jorgett of Salt Lake City. Interment followed in Salt Lake City cemetery. Born April 18 185? in Monroe Town, he worked as foreman at the Snyder Mine in Park City. He lost his first wife Harriet Hutchins in Feb 17a and married Annie Pierce Tender in Nov 1920. they resided in Salt Lake City at the time of his death.

Gaylor Winters Injured In Street Accident
Gaylor Winters a two and a half year old son of Marchal Winters suffered body and head bruises when a truck struck him as he crossed the street from a park toward his grandmother's Rose Hayes home. He was unconscious briefly and taken to Dr. Anderson for first aid before being released to his home. Local camp doctors and officers visited Monday and reported he is recovering.

Peter Axel Johnson, 93, died at his daughter's home in Pleasant Grove. He lived in Salt Lake City for 65 years and helped build railroads in Cottonwood and American Fork canyons. He was a high priest and a longtime Latter day Saint. Surviving are his second wife Margaret, four daughters, 72 grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. Funeral Friday at 1 p.m. in the Timpanogos stake tabernacle. Interment in Pleasant Grove city cemetery.

Keetch Family Holds Annual Reunion at Saratoga
The Keetch family met Thursday at Saratoga for their annual reunion. Elijah Keetch of St. Charles Idaho called a meeting at 11 a m to perfect the Keetch organization. Over thirty Idaho relatives attended the picnic, gaffes were served, and afternoon activities included bathing and visiting. A G Keetch of Windsor ward serves as vice president. Mr and Mrs Samuel Smith were weekend guests with their mother Mrs LaRue Smith.
