Carl Warnick Injured in Wyoming Idaho Crash

Mrs Merrill Warnick and Mrs Robert Warnick traveled to Montpelier Idaho to visit son Carl Warnick who is hospitalized there for injuries from an early Sunday traffic accident at Cokeville Wyoming. Warnick and companion Bert Edwards were returning to Wyoming after visiting a friend in Loga when Edwards, who was driving, fell asleep at the wheel. no other car was involved.

Dixie Ivers Named Queen of Strawberry Days Rodeo

Dixie Ivers of Edgemont was chosen as rodeo queen for Pleasant Grove Strawberry Days Rodeo on June 21 and 22, with Colleen Christiansen and Kathleen Wide as attendants. Fifteen contestants competed at Pleasant Grove Rodeo Grounds. awards were given by Kenneth R. Gilman as judges from Arrowhead Riding Club. The queen and attendants will appear at the Western parade and rodeo events, with Governor Carlisle to receive an invitation and plans for radio and TV appearances.

Two Car Crash in Manila Injures Three Seriously

A Memorial Day collision in Manila left three people seriously injured and several others hurt. Mrs. Blaine Swenson of Pleasant Grove sustained chest, face and head injuries. her son Maude, 5, fractured leg and arm. Blaine Swenson received multiple breaks. Sharma Swenson head injuries. Sherman Brown Wright of Am Fork had leg injuries. Dean Bol, 17, from Am Fork Fouls, suffered serious head and face injuries. The other car’s driver, Dean Bol, was hospitalized with head injuries. The crash occurred when Mrs. Swenson’s car was struck broadside by a Weight machine, sending it 40 feet into a ditch upside down, according to Highway Patrolman Kenneth Harris who investigated.
