The Adams family reunion in Pleasant Grove marked exactly a century since the arrival of Willa Henry Adams Sr Philo Farnsworth and John Mercer. Attendees included Farnsworth and Despain family members with many out of town guests from Salt Lake City Ogden Provo American Fork Oakley Spanish Fork and Lehi.

Miss Estelle Fenton presented short biographies of current American poets and discussed the times influence on poetry. Local Girl Shines in Parades From Summer Crets

Alice Meredith five year old baton dancer daughter of Mr and Mrs Arthur Meredith played a key role in several parades this summer. She stood behind the color guard in the July parade at Salt Lake City and appeared in the Strawberry Parades and the Fourth of July parade at Provo. Her family has received praise for her performances.

Mary J L Cooper Rites Held In Ogden

Funeral services for Mary J L Cooper longtime Pleasant Grove resident were held June 26 at Linguist and Sons Colonial Chapel Ogden. Burial followed in Sandy cemetery. Born October 26 1672 in Eppervale South Wales she came to Utah as a child and lived in Sandy West Jordan Pleasant Grove and Ogden. She served as assistant county recorder 1922 24 postmaster at Pleasant Grove 1924 26 and later held church and civic roles in Alpine Stake Ogden. Surviving son Albert L Cooper two daughters Amy and Mary Leone and two grandchildren. Local attendees included Margaret Holdaway Reed Crystal and others.

Funeral rites held for F R Heidenreich at First Ward chapel

Impressive funeral services were conducted Saturday for Frank R. Heidenreich 65 who died at home from heart disease. Bishopric in charge led prayers with local and out of town relatives attending, pallbearers named, and interment at Pleasant Grove City cemetery.

DUP Honors Immigrant Utah Pioneers

Immigrant Utah pioneers who helped build the railroad were honored at a July 24 event hosted by the Daughters of Utah Pioneers in Pleasant Grove.
