Sunset Services At Am Fork Training School Amphitheatre
The annual Sunset Service of Timpanogos Stake will be held Sunday July 6 at the Amphi theatre of the American Fork Training School. Pleasant Grove High School Orchestra led by Harvey Rawlinson performs at 7 15 p m with the service starting at 7 30 p m. The program includes performances by the Stake Girls Chorus and First Ward Girls Chorus and features speaker Paul Royal from KSL. Funeral attendees included Mrs George Alfred of Spring City, mother of Mrs Jesse G Peterson.

Quick Action By Fire Department Averts Serious Fire
Pleasant Grove volunteer firefighters quickly stopped a blaze in the vacant building formerly the Red and White Market. The fire started in old paper behind the store, scorched the door and roof but caused negligible damage. Investigators suspect children started it. Fire crews also stood by at Owen Halliday’s grain field near the Union Pacific right of way in case a weed burner ignited grain.

Pleasant Grove Streets to Ground New Surfacing This Month
Pleasant Grove officials announced that Main Street and Center Street west from the Bank of Pleasant Grove to the Corlelasen corner will receive new surfacing by Utah State Highway Commission crews.
