Utah State University honors list for Fall Quarter 1976 announced by Dr. Claude J. Burtenshaw. To qualify, students must enroll at least 15 hours and hold a 3.5 GPA or higher. Pleasant Grove names include Greg Gillman West and Gladene Hilton. Mountain Bell Expands Area Service in Utah County

Mountain Bell announces a $2.35 million Extended Area Service plan becoming effective February 5. Provo and Orem callers gain toll free reach to Lehi Santaquin. Lehi Pleasant Grove American Fork gain toll free to Provo Orem. Santaquin Payson Spanish Fork reach Goshen callers gain toll free both ways. Rates rise in most valley communities, Springville unchanged. Goshen up 82 cents.

Lindon City Council holds regular meeting January 11

The Lindon City Council met in regular session on Tuesday January 11 with Mayor Willard M Johnson presiding. All council members attended along with Harold Erickson recorder Elvie Erickson treasurer Wayne Hansen Richard Bradford and Ivan Walker. Hansen introduced as the new Utah Valley Industrial Development Association president elect for 1977. Justin Jacobsen spoke about the area petitioned for an Industrial Zone extension and submitted a Manufacturing-Industrial Zone proposal for study. Councilman Jolson said he applied for 1477.26 dollars in anti recession funds for park improvements including replacing Hine sprinkler heads.
