Stake Conference Slated For Weekend Sessions at Timpanogos

Timpanogos Stake announces a two day quarterly stake conference on Saturday January 25 and Sunday January 26 with Elder Mathew Cowl Cowell and S Wam A Stevens as visitors. Saturday features Welfare and Priesthood leadership sessions at the Third Ward Chapel with extensive attendance for stake officers and quorums. Sunday includes Priesthood meetings at 2 PM and Mothers and Daughters gathering at 2 PM in the Second Ward Chapel, followed by general conference sessions at 10 AM and 7:30 PM in the First Ward Chapel for all stake members.

Pleasant Grove Second Ward Reunion January 27

The Pleasant Grove Second ward will hold its reunion on Monday January 27. The affair directed by the bishopric will include a program at 1 o clock followed by lunch and dancing. Carter's orchestra will provide the music. All ward members and former members are invited.

Engineers Attend 25th Annual Banquet in Utah

Mr and Mrs Neldon Lim joined by Mr and Mrs R Karl Jones of Provo attended the 25th annual Banquet and Ball at Hotel Utah. About 500 engineers contractors and equipment dealers and their wives were present. A highlight was a 90 minute demonstration of Mutual Telepathy by Onnmbger of radio fame. Refreshments were served by major companies and QuipMovie Tolkie of the state.

First Ward tops Second Ward 127 to 0 in a one sided early game while edging Third Ward 36 to 34 as the Pleasant Grove M Men league progresses. Services Held for Adams Child

Funeral services were held Tuesday at Olpin Mortuary for infant Joseph Ruel Adams of Orem. Bishop Wilford Adams officiated with prayers by Bishop Louis Olpin. Speakers included Joseph H. Adams and Bishop Larson. A vocal duet by Helen Bunnell Weeks and Winnie Groff accompanied by Alene Johnson Kotfard followed. Burial was in Orem Cemetery.

Funeral set for David Cooper at Pleasant Grove chapel

Funeral services for David Cooper will be held at 10 A M Saturday in Pleasant Grove First Ward Chapel with Bishop Lewis Olpin presiding. Cooper born 1888 in Salt Lake City, son of Thomas and Rachel Choper, worked 24 years for the government at White Rock and Ft Duchesne, retired. Survivors include widow Anna Lundberg Cooper, three sons Thomas W Cooper and Glenn Cooper and Frank Dee Cooper, a daughter Mrs Clark, four grandchildren, a brother and three sisters. Interment in Roosevelt Cemetery, with casket viewing at Dillman Funeral Home in Roosevelt.

Fifty five Boy Scouts and Scouters from Timpannsus District will receive Eagle Badges at a January 29 ceremony at Pleasant Grove High School. Harper Baird Marriage Is Announced

Mr and Mrs Clifton H Harper announce the marriage of their daughter Rose to Harold Baird son of Mr and Mrs Richard Baird of Heyburn Idaho. The ceremony was on Wednesday January 22 at the Salt Lake LDS temple with Elder Burton officiating. Witnesses included both mothers and local relatives. A reception will be held Saturday evening in the First Ward Recreation Hall. The couple plans to make their home in Salt Lake City.

Cartons Club meeting details and future program plan

On Monday evening January 20 the Cartons Club met at the home of Mrs Laurens Warnick. Vice President Warnick opened with a scrap book selection. Carol Jaynes led the program with a club prayer read by Cummarsh Cullimore. Geneva Gibson reported on Chili and two great liberators Ambrose O’Higgins and San Martin. A future meeting was announced for February 3 at the home of Hazel Adams with Bernice Christensen presenting music titled Christ of the Andes.
