A Pleasant Grove area special committee will study sites for a proposed new high school. Neils Fugal chairs the general committee which met to hear C R Clark report on purchasing about 20 acres and bond funds now available from Alpine district. Mother's March Slated For Next Thursday In Polio Drive
Tuesday evening a meeting of area chairmen and workers for the annual March of Dimes Mother's March was held at Pleasant Grove Central School. Mrs. Leland Beers was named chairman and reported the town is organized for the drive on January 28 from 7 to 8 pm. Howard Willis, Utah County Chairman of the National Foundation, attended and spoke on infantile paralysis progress, gamma globulin, and a new vaccine expected to be tested nationwide. Emile Cances urged residents to light porches and give generously, with official collectors identified by stickers on fruit jars. If a home is missed, Pleasant Grove Junior Chamber of Commerce volunteers will call for contributions.

Funeral services for Carl Ferdinand Petersen 61 who died of a heart attack while helping a neighbor fight a fire were held Thursday at 2 pm in the opin Mortuary Orem. J Arza Adams vice president of the Turkey Association and his wife returned from a nine day Milwaukee trip for the annual Lie National Turkey Federation convention where Adams was elected second vice president.
