Isaac J Wadley died at his home near the city on Wednesday morning after a brief illness. He was born July 19 1871 in Pinchville Washington County and spent most of his life mining in the Western states. He married Tarsotta West on September 9 1900 in the Manti Temple and is survived by two sons, six daughters, twelve grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and several siblings. Funeral Friday at 2 PM with burial to follow in Pleasant Grove. he was familiarly known as Uncle Ike.

The Pleasant Grove Chamber of Commerce will host an athletic carnival on Saturday February 6 featuring boxing track as well as basketball and a dance. Floyd Bachus, a radio operator second class in the U S Navy, left for San Francisco after a visit with family. his ship was twelve hours from Pearl Harbor on December 7 1941 and he could share many stories upon return.

Beginning January 29 and every other Friday, the City Truck will collect scrap iron in Pleasant Grove. Do not place tubs or car bodies. place items by the road for easy pickup. The effort aims to boost the local junk drive as Pleasant Grove lags behind.
