Mrs Kopp Dies in Manila Ward Services Scheduled
Obituary and wedding notices from Manila Ward announce the passing of Mrs. Carax Mulion Kopp aged 100, bronchial pneumonia cited as cause. Burial at Minin ward chapel under Bishop Swenson. survivors include husband Freda Kopp Dalton, Augusta Kopp Wolters, Frederick Kopp and three young children. Directors of the Bank of Pleasant Grove were reflected at the annual meeting of stockholders held Tuesday January 17. The bank reported a fairly good year and paid a dividend. Directors reelected were John J. Allen Chipman C J Cobbley H W Jacobs Lewis B Olpth H V Swenson and Junius A West. Officers elected were H W Jacobs president C J Cobley vice president Junius A West cashier and Howard E Paxman assistant cashier.

Court Of Review Slated Saturday For Scouts
The Timpanogos Boy Scouts of America district court of review will be held Saturday evening at the stake offices with Frank D. Atwood as chairman. Scouts who advanced will face examiners for final approval. the change was made due to a Chamber of Commerce banquet. Pleasant Grove LDS Seminary will present the Second Part program Sunday evening under Bishop C. R. Clark, with music and parts directed by W. C. G. Smith. Harold J. Walker, formerly of Price, Utah, becomes director of the N. A. at Carlton Junior College, starting Saturday.

Fey Mills of Pleasant Grove, a BYU student, joins the cast of Yellow Jack a three act play to be staged January 19 and 20 under Dr. T Earl Pardoe with Mrs Katherine B Pardoe assisting. The play, written by Sidney Howard, draws on US Army history as described in Paul De Kruif’s book Microbe Hunters. Mrs Louisa Hawley Halliday 85 died at her Pleasant Grove home on Wednesday from pneumonia ending a 67 year marriage with Joseph W Halliday. The couple raised nine children and were long active in the LDS Relief Society. The article also reports Nathaniel Loader Harold Wootton appointed to fill unexpired city council terms and LeGrande White's recently noted passing.
