The Griffin Bakery on First South Pleasant Grove reopened Tuesday January 14 after major remodeling. Owners Mr and Mrs Roy Griffin lowered the entire building about five feet to create a new look and atmosphere for customers.

Pleasant Grove C of C elects seven directors at banquet

The Pleasant Grove Chamber of Commerce mailed ballots for seven new directors to paid members. The annual banquet Friday January 31 will announce the new directors and honor a Lifetime member. Tickets are $2.50 and available at local businesses.

Lions Club hears deputy district governor speak

Deputy District Governor James Nelson of American Fork addressed local Lions and helped install Parley Varney as a new member. The evening included Samoan entertainment with Carma Bastian and Mane Card in Samoan costumes, dancing with Robert Hansen. The annual mid winter banquet at Terrace Ballroom in Salt Lake City was rescheduled for Jan 25 at 7:30 pm, replacing the second January meeting.
