Last Respects Paid to Calvin Johnson

Tax Collections Pass One Million in County Totals

In December Utah county general tax receipts reached $529,468.20, lifting 1936 to $1,164,622.57. Treasurer Andrew Jensen notes year to date is $50,024.04 under 1935 through March 31 final computations. Dewey Frank Adams 21 died at home at 7 45 Tuesday morning from complications after rheumatic fever. Born November 4 1915 in Pleasant Grove he was a Pleasant Grove High School graduate. Survived by wife Wanda Harris and daughter Geraldine, parents Benjamin and Margaret Adams, and siblings Mrs Russell Jacobs Provo Mrs Lloyd Peterson American Fork Nathan Desole Archie Laura and Margaret Adams. Funeral Friday 1 00 p m at the Timpanogos stake tabernacle with Bishop Junius A West in charge. Obsequies at Opal Mortuary Wednesday Thursday and at parental home Thursday evening through Friday.

Local Weekend Traffic Leads to Injuries and School Accidents

Martha Hatch and Donna Day were cut and bruised in a Sunday morning collision returning from a show in Provo when their car struck a parked vehicle near Orem. Earlier in the week two school accidents injured Lloyd Walker in a coasting mishap and Eldreage Warrick when an icicle fell on him.
