Queens old and Green Ball will be held Saturday as a high school event in the evening. Attendants and queens will be honored with the ward bearers named White Clark Beal Hooley Wright Worley Marr Beal. Delbert Fucal West and Banks head the preparations for the dance and orchestra.

Provo High’s Bulldogs edged past Pleasant Grove in a late season hoops race by a slim 429 victory. Funeral services were held Thursday for Frances Nichter Kitchen 88 in Manila with Bishop Post officiating.
Brigham Young University in Provo Utah will host its 18th Annual Leadership Week January 23 27 offering significant courses for community leaders from the intermountain area. More than 3000 people from nearly every state attended last year and even larger attendance is expected this year. The program features daily general assemblies, courses from 42 departments, and cultural entertainment including a symphony orchestra concert an evening of vocal chorus music a band concert and a three act drama.
The Daniel Guggenheim Medal fund, begun in 1928, awards a gold medal and certificate yearly for aeronautics advancement. Nine directors from ASME, SAE, and IAS oversee selection with foreign representatives from six nations. Leadership week events are free to adults, inviting church and civic leaders to attend and participate.
